Dr Johannes Hendriks

Teaching

MECH2110

This is a project based design course. Students form small teams to design and build an autonomous vehicle capable of completing a specified challenge. The challenge is set every year as part of the National Warman challenge. Johannes was responsible for the development of lectures and laboratory assessments on robotics design, which he delivered for several years.

MCHA3900

This is a project based course, where students deepen their knowledge on the mechatronic system design process. This course primarily focuses on modelling, control and estimation for both robot manipulators and vehicles operating in 3D space. Johannes was previously a tutor in this course.

MCHA3000

This is a project-based course where a mechatronic system with an electromechanical component is designed and built. The course integrates tools and skills related to computer and software, electronics, control, modelling and simulation. It also develops the concepts of experimental modelling and implementation of computer control systems. The course provides a real-life experience related to the practice of mechatronics engineering.  Johannes was previously a tutor in this course.

MCHA2000

This course teaches the fundamentals of modelling and simulating mechatronic systems. Systems analysed in this course have interacting mechanical translation, mechanical rotation, electrical, and fluid components. I was previously a course tutor.
