Bayesian Estimation
Bayesian estimation is a probabilistic approach to estimating unknown model parameters while also providing information about the amount of uncertainty. This type of estimation involves the use of prior knowledge, which is updated with measured data to produce a posterior distribution from which predictions can be made. In my research, I will be considering the application of Bayesian estimation theory to the medical industry. Specifically, this will involve the development of a prediction tool to assist doctors in deciding the best recovery method for knee surgery patients.
